木部があまり発達せず、地上茎が開化・
結実のあとに枯れる植物。
俗に草 (くさ) と呼ばれるもの。

時が来れば芽生え、盛り、朽ちる草本植物。
限られた時の中で息吹き、消えてしまうその様は
“香り”の在り方と共通する。
暦の色彩が階調を踏まえるように、
香りもまたひととき毎に変容し、
然有らぬ仕掛けと気配だけが記憶に刻まれる。

a woody stem
and dies down to the ground after flowering.
Sohon (草本) is an herbal plant that sprouts,
grows, and decays so fast as the season passes by.
This transient nature is so much like the “fragrance”
that appears and disappears in a moment.
Just as the color of the calendar is based
on the seasonal gradation,
the scent also transforms with time.
And only the unforeseen magic
and signs are to be remembered.
